Nia Fung

Nia Fung is a Former Prosecutor who has experience in investigation and litigation and a commitment to working for the public and ensuring trust in the justice system. Nia attended Penn State Law for her Juris Doctor and while there, interned with the Mental Hygiene Legal Service and assisted with the representation of mentally ill defendants in civil and criminal courts. After graduating law school, Nia began her career at the Queens District Attorney's Office as an Assistant District Attorney where she prosecuted over 600 cases, some of which she tried as lead counsel. As a Prosecutor Nia handled cases ranging from attempted murder, assault, robberies, reckless endangerment and DWI offenses. There, she learned important skills in investigation, jury selection, witness preparation and courtroom presence. Nia then continued her career at the Department of Correction (DOC) as an Agency Attorney for the Trials and Litigation Division. She gained extensive knowledge in the DOC’s departmental Directives and Regulations.

Nia takes pride in understanding and navigating the legal system to ensure her clients get a fair and just result. No two cases are the same and Nia understands that with each client every approach has to be different. With this in mind Nia navigates the legal system in ways which will give her clients the result that is best for their circumstances.
