Biography

Julie Houghtaling, Esq has been a practicing litigator since 1997 with twenty-six years of experience practicing law, defending clients, and pursuing claims on behalf of clients. She has represented well over one thousand clients in cases taking them from their inception to conclusion. Julie began her professional career as a public school teacher in upstate New York and thereafter worked as a high school Vice Principal further upstate New York. During law school at The University of Buffalo School of Law, she interned as a teacher of legal research and writing at the Albion Womens' Correctional Facility, interned as an investigator for the Equal Opportunity Commission, as well as interned for other agencies.

Julie is a transplant to the New York City metropolitan area and the proud mother of one grown son. She is one of two surviving daughters of a prior New York State labor relations' specialist, school district personnel director, lecturer, teacher, vice principal, and post-retirement interim city manager of her upstate small town. Her mother served proudly as an upstate New York hospital nurse and thereafter a public school nurse teacher.

Julie is an ever evolving golfer and most passionate about the game. She has been a skier since the age of three, enjoys traveling internationally, as well as often as possible to the upstate New York Finger Lakes' region to visit family and friends.
